# Treasury

> Treasury gives you the funding information for your Reap balances: funding options, a wallet address or bank details, then your Treasury history.

Treasury is how funds move into and out of your Reap balances. Through the
API you can get the funding information for your card account by bank
transfer or crypto transfer, then reconcile every movement in your
transaction history, all without opening the dashboard. The API never moves
funds: it returns the funding information for your account (funding options,
a wallet address or bank details with a Reference ID), records a bank
transfer you already sent and lists your Treasury history. The funds move
from your own exchange, wallet or bank.

## Products

Treasury calls are scoped by `product`. For how the balances relate to each
other, see [Moving Funds Between Card, Payments, and
Treasury](https://support.reap.global/hc/en-us/articles/16170850935823-Moving-Funds-Between-Card-Payments-and-Treasury) in the Help Center:

| Value | What it funds |
| - | - |
| `CARD` | The card account, the credit pool your cards spend from |
| `PAYMENTS` | Your payments balance |
| `OPTIMIZE` | Reap Optimize |
| `GENERAL` | Other account funding |

## Funding methods

Two `type`s of funding instructions:

* **`BANK_TRANSFER`**: Reap returns bank details and a unique Reference ID.
You put the reference in the transfer's remarks, then confirm the transfer.
* **`CRYPTO`**: Reap returns a deposit wallet address per network. You send
  stablecoins; no confirmation call needed.

## Eligibility and scopes

Treasury requires an eligible business (approved KYB and an eligible client
type); otherwise calls fail with `403 TREASURY_NOT_AVAILABLE`. Crypto funding
needs crypto deposit methods enabled for your business (see [What blockchains and digital assets funds are supported?](https://support.reap.global/hc/en-us/articles/13911068792335-What-blockchains-and-digital-assets-funds-are-supported) in the Help Center). Your API key needs
the Treasury scopes. See the
[scope table](/api-reference/authentication.md#scopes). Bank transfer
confirmations are recorded under the person who created the key; if they
leave the team, calls fail with `403 TREASURY_REQUESTER_NOT_AVAILABLE`.
