Requests are limited to 1000 per minute per API key (sliding window). Exceeding that returns 429 API_KEY_RATE_LIMITED. Card creation is limited separately, per business and shared with the dashboard; exceeding it returns 429 CARD_LIMIT_EXCEEDED. If you expect a significant number of cards to be created, reach out to your account manager first for a better experience.

No rate-limit headers

Responses don’t carry Retry-After or remaining-quota headers. On 429, back off and retry; exponential backoff starting around one second works. For idempotent endpoints, retry with the same Idempotency-Key.

Batching advice

  • Send creates one after another, not in parallel bursts; a batch of cards still counts against the card-creation limit.
  • Cache reference data (/team-members, /cards/categories) instead of re-reading it inside loops.
  • Page through list endpoints with limit and page until meta.totalPages.
