The card account is the shared credit pool every card draws on. Get card-account balances returns six figures, computed at request time. They’re the same numbers you see on the dashboard’s balance and statement pages. See Understanding your Card Statement in the Help Center.
  • availableCredit (money): how much can still be spent on cards right now, with pending card transactions already deducted. Never below zero.
  • totalCreditLimit (money): your business’s total credit limit. To change it, see How do I increase my Card credit limit? in the Help Center.
  • outstandingBalance (money): what’s currently owed. Signed, so a negative value is a credit balance.
  • pendingAmount (money): repayments you’ve made that haven’t been applied yet. Can differ in currency from the rest.
  • allocatedCredit (money): credit set aside for specific cards, such as top-up cards. Signed.
  • unallocatedCredit (money): credit not yet assigned, the best guide to how much new budget you can hand out.
Typical uses: a finance dashboard in your own tool, or an alert when availableCredit drops below a threshold. Check unallocatedCredit before handing out new spendCap budgets.

Treasury and the card account

Deposits you make using the Treasury funding information raise this same credit pool. When a Treasury deposit completes, availableCredit rises, but only once the transaction shows COMPLETED in Treasury transactions. Expect a short delay between confirmation and the balance update. The card account currency is set when your business account is created during onboarding and can’t be changed afterwards. A stablecoin deposit lands in the card balance currency at the returned conversionRate.
